On Sunday, November 19th, Hotel Doggy’s small army of stylists, photographers and dog models gathered at Hotel Le Germain Toronto to shoot the Fall/Winter 2018 collection. The latest designs feature monochromatic neutrals and geometric prints. From our Melton sherpa-lined coats to Cable Knit sweaters, Hotel Doggy apparel has major curbside appeal, and every year we like to find a unique locale that reflects our modern and sophisticated threads. Seeing as how we love boutique hotels, Le Germain Toronto was no exception. The family-run oasis is situated in the heart of the city’s entertainment district and presented the ‘ultimutt’ backdrop for our shoot.
Hotel Le Germain Toronto has recently undergone a revitalization beginning with their elegant lobby. The front desk team greeted our pups with warm smiles – the employees clearly love dogs as much as we do! Beside the lobby is the new Victor Restaurant Bar where we thawed out from the cold with gourmet coffees and teas in the ambient dining space.
With Le Germain’s help, our shoot took place in the lobby, library and the gorgeous apartment suite which features a spacious living and dining room, a master bedroom, cozy fireplace and kitchen. The whole apartment spans two floors with a private terrace overlooking the CN Tower!
We were pleased Mr. Marcel [@mr.marcel] could overnight there and make a cameo during his trip to Toronto for the Holiday Pet Expo. Dog celebs Remix the Dog and Iggy Joey [@remixthedog @iggyjoey] also made an appearance.
Our photographer Blaise Misiek, who shoots for a luxury retailer by day, did a tremendous job capturing the personalities of our esteemed dog models. Stylist Cynthia Florek, aka the dog whisperer, set the stage and styled the outfits. Hotel Doggy’s founder & CEO and the visionary behind our brand, Nancy Dennis, provided the clothing designs which are inspired by the latest human fashion trends. Without such a talented crew, Hotel Doggy would not be the international success it is today!
Do follow us on Instagram and Facebook @hoteldoggy to see more images from our shoot. If you would like to feature your dog wearing Hotel Doggy, use our hashtag #hoteldoggy and tag us on Instagram. We are always looking for new dogs to feature and to be models for our clothes, preferably if they wear size medium and take direction in exchange for treats!
